Obedience and Pious Deeds


1- Imam Mohammad Bagher (A. S.)            ((Behar, vol. 78, p. 165))
The highest obedience is the performance of one's duty.


2- Imam Zeinolabedin (A. S.)            ((Behar, vol. 78, p. 136))
The dearest among you to God ((on high)), is the one whose deeds and behavior are better than others.


3- The Honorable Prophet of Islam (P.B.U.H.)            ((Ashshehab Fel-Hekame-Val-Adab, p. 45))
The one who practises his knowledge, God will give him knowledge that he didn't have before.


4- Imam Jafar Sadegh (A. S.)            ((Tohafol-Oghool, p. 386))
Every task has an end, you should be careful about the end of your tasks.


5- Imam Reza (A. S.)            ((Behar, vol. 78, p. 352))
A useful man is the one who keeps an account of himself, otherwise he is among those who incur loss.

Blessed is the one whose age is lengthy and his deeds are commendable.

The value of a person is due to his good deeds.

Clever is the person who keeps an account of himself and his actions for after his death.

Everyone reaps what he sows.

Be aware to avoid the negligence that follows hard-heartedness.

There is no trade higher than trading of commendable deeds.

I have never spent a night in which, what was due God in my property, was not paid for.

Anybody who performs his necessary duties that God has obliged him perform, he himself will be one of the best worshippers of all.

These hearts will be corroded like iron, you should polish them by asking or forgiveness.

Be aware that, the most detested Person in presence of God is the one who accepts an Imam as a leader, but doesn't follow him in action.

He who sows evil, the product of it is regret.


17- The Reverent Amir (A. S.)            ((Tohafol-Oghool, p. 211))
Whatever wishes of human is lenghty, will also shirk religious duties.


18- Imam Jafar Sadegh (A. S.)            ((Tohafol-Oghool, p. 379))
The one who acts ignorantly is like the one who goes astray: the more he speeds up the farther he will be from his purpose!


19- The Honorable Prophet of Islam (P.B.U.H.)            ((Ashshehab Fel-Hekame-Val-Adab, p. 14))
God bestows blessings due to prayers of a competent man or woman in a city, and will prevent calamity and misfortune.


20- The Reverent Amir (A. S.)            ((NahjoI-Balaghe, Sent. 117))
What a difference is between these two actions: the action that its enjoyment lost, but its undesirable effects remains, and the action that its difficulties lost, but its rewards remains.


21- Imam Ali Naghi (A. S.)            ((Tohafol-Oghool, p. 1O))
The person who obeys the unique God will not fear the anger of creatures of God.


22- The Reverent Amir (A. S.)            ((Nahjol-Balaghe, Khotbeh 42))
Today (the world) is the day of action without reckoning, and tomorrow (the resurrection day) is the day of reckoning without deeds.


23- The Honorable Prophet of Islam (P.B.U.H)            ((Shahabol-Akhbar, p. 133))
A person is prosperous who enjoys a long life and applies it in the obedience of the God "on high".


24- Imam Reza (A. S.)            ((Oyoonol-Akhbar, vol 1. p. 291))
Vilayat and divine dispensation (God's favour) will not be obtained, except through obedience and submission.

The weakest of people is the one who is unable to say a blessing!

Praying is the spirit and soul of the worship and servitude.


27- The Reverent Amir (A. S.)            ((Nahjol-Balaghe, Sent. 86))
The person who improves and recovers his relation with Allah; God will recover his connections with others.


28- Imam Mohammad Bagher (A. S.)            ((Osoole.Kafi, vol. 3, p. 117))
Iswear to God, our follwers are only the ones who adore and obey God.


29- Imam Hassan Askari (A. S.)            ((Behar, vol. 78, p. 374))
Your daily subsistence which has been assured by God, Should not prevent you of rising obedience and performing your duties.


30- The Reverent Amir (A. S.)            ((Fehrest-e-Ghorar, p. 279))
It is only with meritorious and pious deeds that mankind will achieve dignity.


31- The Endeared Prophet of Islam (P.B.U.H.)            ((Behar, vol. 69, p. 64))
For any maxim, word and speech, there is a sense of action whether approves, or denies it.


32- The Reverent Amir (A. S.)            ((Fehrest-e-Ghorar, p. 74))
The most like people to the prophets of God are the ones that say the word of truth more than the others, and are more patient in action.


33- The Reverent Amir (A. S.)            ((Nahjol-Balaghe, Sent. 142))
Don't consider yourself empty handed and without action, and have hope in the rewards of eternity.


34- The Honorable Prophet of Islam (P.B.U.H.)            ((Mostadrak, vol. 1, p. 90))
Deeds and actions of the people are in pledge of their intentions, and the proportion and share of everyone is according to his intentions.


35- Imam Hassan Askari (A. S.)            ((Tohafol-Oghool, p.519))
Everyone who plants a good (pious) deed, his reward will certainly be happiness and pleasure.


36- Imam Hassan Askari (A. S.)            ((Behar, vol. 78, p. 376))
Don't you ever be negligent to the orders of God, because as a result, there will be nothing except damage and loss for you.


37- The Honorable Prophet of Islam (P.B.U.H.)            ((Ashshehab Fel-Hekame-Val-Adab, p. 18))
What a bad servant is the one that has been created for the worship of God, but instead the world has made him busy with himself.


38- Imam Jafar Sadegh (A. S.)            ((Behar, vol. 78, p. 277))
The person that his tomorrow is worse than his today, in fact he has been deceived.


39- The Honorable Prophet of Islam (P.B.U.H.)            ((Almahadjatol-Beizae, vol. 6, p. 312))
God will never observe the value of property and your possessions, but will observe your hearts, deeds and actions.


40- The Reverent Amir (A. S.)            ((Behar, vol. 78, p. 56))
Property and children are the plantation of the world, and Pious Deed is the plantation of eternity.
